Holiday Time!

I can't believe it! Thanksgiving will be here soon and Christmas is right around the corner. Every year I think where did the time go? Then I start to think of all the wonderful activities that surround my life with my Children and my family. I have a six year old girl and a five year old boy and every year around holiday time it becomes more challenging but in different ways. When they were little it was difficult to try to get shopping done with two small children and it proved to be really trying. It wasn't like you could just go one full day to get your shopping done. There is only so much those little ones could take. We needed our naps (myself included)! The one good thing is that they had no clue what I was buying. Now it is a different story. We can actually stand to be out shopping for long periods of time, but they notice every little thing that is put in that shopping cart! Then the hundred questions come...who is that for?...can I have one of those? One good thing that has come with time is internet shopping. How convenient is it to just log online, shop your prices, and click the button to buy? All in the comfort of your own home! This is something that has saved me loads of time during the holiday season. The only restriction is that you have to purchase these items in enough time to receive them before Christmas, but you have a reasonable amount of time. Guess what...only 7 weeks until Christmas! It is that time to start compiling those lists and if your children are old enough to start writing Santa. Santa will be here before you know it.

One site to definitely check out for children of all ages is http://www.babysupermarket.com/. They carry everything from baby items to toys for the older children. Who knows, you may even find something for yourself. :) To receive their email specials click on join our mailing list.

Happy Holidays!!

Certified Medela Nursing Center

By the time you start to reach you third trimester I am sure you have heard of all of the benefits to breastfeeding. You may have even heard some of the not so flattering stories from your friends. Isn't is amazing how you can hear more stories from your friends and even complete strangers, that are negative and just plain frightening to an expectant mother. You know they have good intentions and for a moment have forgotten what it feels like to be in such a state of excitement and yet scared out of your mind at the same time. I think this is one thing that just comes with being pregnant, so most of us just smile and listen because you know that you are being given the most wonderful gift and it is worth every story, good or bad.

There are so many important decisions to make and one of those important decisions that you are probably thinking about is, should I or shouldn't I breastfeed? The advantages of breastfeeding definitely outweigh the disadvantages and everyone has a different experience. In the end you want what is best for you and your baby. Baby Supermarket is now a Certified Medela Nursing Center in Jackson, Mississippi and they want to be there to help you with your nursing needs. They provide a wide variety of Medela products to rent or buy as well as custom fittings for nursing bras. If you are in the area stop by and check out their wide selection or take a look on their website at http://www.babysupermarket.com/.
